An affluent small town suburb of Fort Worth, Texas, Southlake is known for its luxury neighborhoods and award-winning Carroll Independent school system. It is located within close proximity to the Dallas-Fort-Worth Airport as well as popular theme park Six Flags, and the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers Stadiums.
In 2008, Forbes Magazine ranked Southlake the most “affluent neighborhood in the country” due to median household income. This is not surprising as several professional athletes of NFL and MLB have homes in Southlake.
The 100% TEA (Texas Education Agency) rated Carroll Independent School District covers the majority of Southlake. Beyond achieving academic excellence, Carroll High School excels athletically: the Carroll “Dragons” have won 47 state titles since 1975, and the Dragons football team has won eight state titles out of nine appearances.
Located just north of Southlake, major landmark Grapevine Lake provides hunting, fishing, boating, camping and park trails for those looking to get their nature fix. Southlake Town Square is a north Texas shopping mecca, with just under 100 stores, as well as dining options, a Harkins theater, and a Hilton.
