Fremont is San Francisco’s biggest suburb. The Centerville district is also known as “Little Kabul” for it’s unique Afghan community, which translates into some of the best Middle Eastern food in California. The city has a great open green space in Fremont Central Park, which encompasses Lake Elizabeth. The Mission San Jose Area is Fremont’s historic district. The diverse Warm Springs neighborhood has a great restaurant scene including excellent Thai and Vietnamese food.
Union City is known by well known by local outdoorsmen for its Eden Landing Ecological Preserve, where waterfowl hunting is occasionally permitted. Mostly though, it’s just a really nice park.
